As you know, I love a good clean and crisp outfit, especially in black and white. One of my favorite ways to add some outstanding contrast to a great monochromatic outfit is with an unexpected pop of color, whether it be in the shoes, top, bag or a statement necklace. In today’s look, the star of my outfit is actually my statement necklace.
I’m so excited to be wearing this stunning piece - not only because it’s a showstopper but more importantly, it’s for an amazing cause. I’m very happy to introduce Benevolent Jewels to my readers and tell you guys a little bit about this great company. I wanted to take a brief moment to share how special this company is and why they touched my heart.
As an avid animal lover (especially cats!), I have always been interested in becoming more involved in the animal rescue community. After going through a rough patch last year when we lost our sweet cat Peanut, I hoped that starting my blog would bring me opportunities to meet others that shared similar passions. That’s why when I was introduced to Benevolent Jewels, my heart found a happy place. I love what their company stands for and their mission to seek awareness about the importance of helping others in need, especially our favorite four-legged creatures. Just to give a little highlight of their company mission:
“Benevolent jewels, based in Houston has collaborated with Barrio Dogs in oder to address the issue of animal overpopulation and improving conditions for homeless and unwanted animals in Houston through Unity for a Solution. Unity for a Solution is an effort raised by three established, independent Houston animal welfare organizations: Barrio Dogs, Corridor Rescue, and the Forgotten Dogs of Fifth Ward.”
Benevolent Jewels allows customers to purchase and wear stylish, affordable jewels in order to donate towards a cause. At the end of three months, 20% of their profits are donated to a philanthropic organization.
If you love animals and fashion as much as I do, then you will understand why this company has really made an impact on me. Animals are just like our friends and family, and as someone who has always grown up with animals, I just love where their mind is at. I think it’s only natural that when you combine two of the things I love so much in life together, I’m all in.

Wearing: Blazer: ASOS Top: Sabine via Piperlime (old) Bottom: Zara (similar here and so loving this style) Bag: Deux Lux via Barneys (old, similar here) Shoes: Nine West x InStyle (here) Accessories: Necklace thanks to Benevolent Jewels, Nordstroms link bracelet, Madewell and Citizen Mod, Saint Laurent rings
Lately, I’ve been extremely attracted to asymmetrical hemlines, leather detailing, fun prints and versatile pieces. This new favorite dress fits the criteria and more but in all honesty, it really had me at the price tag. $60?! (Hello, happy bank account!) ASOS never fails me when it comes to more than reasonable prices for high fashion and on trend looks.
It’s no breaking news that I’m a big fan of accessories and trinkets that are customized or monogrammed. When Mary Ann from the cutest Etsy store MimicDesign sent over this beautiful Clare Vivier inspired fold over clutch with my new (married!) initials, I was so touched and excited. In fact, it is the first item in my closet that will have my new initials as a Mrs.! I have no doubt that this special clutch will be getting a lot more attention from me in the future. Not to mention, the pop of red in the zipper detail adds some unexpected edge which I love.
It also comes with a detachable shoulder strap to easily transform into a convenient crossbody bag, yes and yes!
Dress: ASOS, Blouse: ASOS (worn under dress), Shoes: Sigerson Morrison (in beige here), Accessories: MimicDesign fold over clutch (c/o), Bracelets: J.Crew (similar here and here) and Ferragamo (similar here), Rings: MimicDesign and CitizenMod
Today, I’m really excited to be teaming up with MimicDesign to host a fun giveaway for these adorable alphabet earrings (pictured below), personalized just for you! I could not be more smitten with them myself.
MimicDesign has kindly offered to give away a pair in 14k yellow or rose gold plate over 925 sterling silver to one lucky reader. You can add these cute dainty studs to your jewelry collection, making a sweet and personal statement in your own way. :) There are endless possibilities that can be created (i.e. your initials, your hubbys’ initials, “xo” and much more). Not only is the entire alphabet available, but also symbols such as a heart, star and ampersand (&). Capiche? :)
There are just a few simple rules to follow in order to enter.
Wearing: Top: [Mango(https://shop.mango.com/vn) (unavailable online but similar here and here) Bottoms: Le Petites (bought in Paris here and similar here, here and here) Bag: Chanel Shoes: Nine West x InStyle (here) Accessories: Rustic Cuff cuff (c/o), Vita Fede bracelets, Alex and Ani bangles, Citizen Mod and MimicDesign rings
When also else fails, blue and black are my go-to dependable wardrobe colors. I always love wearing the two colors together because it’s a bit unexpected how the two darker hues pair so well together with a pleasant contrast.
You may remember my little teaser of what I purchased in Paris here a few weeks ago. Well, I thought this was a good outfit to introduce you guys to my new little love. I had been eyeing this bag for quite some time and while in Paris, I just couldn’t resist. With her beautiful navy color, lush quilted velvet and perfectly petite sizing, I just couldn’t go home without her. :)
My d’orsay shoes are part of the Nine West x InStyle collection and surprisingly extremely comfortable. I was able to run errands and such in these 4” heels for more than two plus hours and was still happily standing with no pain at the end of the day - a winner in my book. Plus, the brighter blue suede added a fun pop of color to my weekend outfit.
I hope you all had a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

As someone who likes all things feminine, you can imagine how excited I am that the pink color trend will be very popular this upcoming season! I won’t embarrass myself with photos of how pink my room was when I was younger, but you can picture it as a pink explosion of some sort. :) I don’t think pink is actually even considered all that “feminine” anymore since if you recall in the last few years, pink has been deemed as the new black several times. Pink is not only worn by the ladies but men also wear the color loud and proud. Personally, I think it’s quite attractive (in moderation)!
This outfit is a perfect example of one that I would wear on days that I need to make a quick transition from work to a weekday casual date night. Since I typically don’t have much time to get ready before dinner, I simply switch my slacks into a pair of skinny jeans, slip on a pair of high(er) heels and out the door I go! In my opinion, you can never go wrong with a structured blazer, skinny jeans and some heels to make you feel refined, polished and a dose of sexy. ;)
I hope everyone is having a wonderful week. Stay tuned for a fun giveaway next week!
