Falling for Fall: Tan and Navy
Falling for Fall: Tan and Navy

Well guys, I just couldn’t resist any longer. The scarf, boots and jacket came out this past weekend for a little outing! I had been checking the weather daily to see if it might be a LITTLE cooler in LA, but nope, 80s across the board. Therefore, I did what any normal insistent fashion lover would do – I sucked it up and wore my outfit anyway.

When my hubby took a look at me, the first thing he said was “You’re dressed for the wrong season”. Pshhh. Well tooo bad buddy, it’s happening. I do confess I was a little apprehensive that regret would set in once I walked out the door (shhh, don’t tell the hubby), but the weather gods were on my side that day as it got quite breezy early on in the evening. Naturally, I thought I was pretty clever in that moment and even got a little high five from my husband. (Thank you weather gods!) :)

Anyway, I can’t even begin to describe how much I love the colors that are commonly associated with Fall/Winter months and most importantly, the holidays that occur during this season. The holidays make me so feel so warm and fuzzy inside. I seriously get so excited just thinking about them! In terms of my wardrobe, as soon as September rolls around, I just have an itch to stock up on pieces in my personal favorite Fall color: tan. I’ve already bookmarked/collaged more than a few pages worth of outfit inspirations revolved around this color and all the shades in between, hah! Camel, brown, nude, beige, cream…you name it. I’ll try to share some of my collages with you guys soon!

While trying to find something to pair with my tan leather jacket this past weekend (because there was no doubt I was bringing the jacket out), I happened to skim past this blue dress in my closet. I purchased this sweet bow dress last season and actually envisioned myself wearing it in a more formal setting. I hadn’t really thought of it as an option for an easy breezy Sunday running errands, but I was glad that I reached for it. (On a side note - through blogging, I’ve realized my slight obsession for bows as evidenced here, here, and here. Can’t seem to get away from those suckers!)

I almost forgot how well tan and navy go together, like two peas in a pod. I couldn’t wait to pair it with my leopard and navy scarf, which all came together to create a favorite duo-chromatic color scheme. Instead of opting for heels since I was going for a more casual look, I slipped on these perfect-for-Fall boots to complete the outfit and was on my way.

I already know I’ll be wearing this outfit again when the weather cools down even more, except this time with my fleece lined tights (best invention ever) and an oversized coat (in tan, of course!).

Hello! I hope everyone had a good weekend! :)

A little exhausted from a fun and eventful weekend, so keeping it short and sweet today. Nothing makes me feel more refined and polished than a clean and crisp black and white outfit. I don’t think I’ll ever get sick of the color combination (and I hope you guys won’t get sick of me wearing it!). This is going to be a busy but hopefully very productive week! Typically when my weekdays are insanely busy, it makes the much needed relaxation over the weekends THAT much better. Happy Monday!

When also else fails, blue and black are my go-to dependable wardrobe colors. I always love wearing the two colors together because it’s a bit unexpected how the two darker hues pair so well together with a pleasant contrast.

You may remember my little teaser of what I purchased in Paris here a few weeks ago. Well, I thought this was a good outfit to introduce you guys to my new little love. I had been eyeing this bag for quite some time and while in Paris, I just couldn’t resist. With her beautiful navy color, lush quilted velvet and perfectly petite sizing, I just couldn’t go home without her. :)

My d’orsay shoes are part of the Nine West x InStyle collection and surprisingly extremely comfortable. I was able to run errands and such in these 4” heels for more than two plus hours and was still happily standing with no pain at the end of the day - a winner in my book. Plus, the brighter blue suede added a fun pop of color to my weekend outfit.

I hope you all had a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Hi Everyone!

Sorry for being a little MIA for the past week - as you know, I’m in Paris! I can’t believe I’ve already been here for 5 days - I don’t want to leave! I’m absolutely loving this city. The beauty of it is breathtaking, and I just can’t get enough of the picturesque scenery everywhere I turn! I think the Eiffel Tower is just one of those sights that you simply can’t get sick of (in my opinion).

Anyways, just wanted to do a quick post on an outfit I wore a few weekends ago. As I’ve mentioned several times before, I always look to comfort wear on the weekends since I have more restrictions in my wardrobe on the weekdays because of work. Even though I want to stay comfortable, that definitely does not mean I have to throw style out the window! :) Therefore, I love pairing solid colored tops with some floral or print pants to dress it up a bit. This top is not only super comfy because of the soft and loose fitting style, but I’m loving the mesh detailing which adds that fun flare to the outfit.

I hope you are all having a great week so far. I’m off to San Sebastian tomorrow! Can’t wait to post pics soon!
