FRINGE AND FLARE
FRINGE AND FLARE

This outfit has me feeling a little retro which I’ve been loving lately. I personally think that everyone should invest in a pair of good flares because who wouldn’t want their legs to look miles longer than they really are? :) (Unless of course you already have super long legs then no need, you’re just blessed haha).

I fell madly in love with this fringe sweater when I saw it in the store – it’s soft oatmeal color is so perfect and such a perfect Fall staple. Not only is the color soft and cozy – it actually wears super comfy as well. I typically stray away from too many turtleneck sweaters because I hate (DESPISE) wearing anything itchy, ESPECIALLY if it’s constraining to my neck – tell me I’m not alone on this. That’s why sometimes when I see people spending an arm and a leg on cashmere or wool, I’m like, really?? You know it isn’t going to be comfortable!!! Sorry- just my opinion.

I can’t believe it’s THANKSGIVING week!! Let the official holiday season commence! I am so excited to have Everly experience all the fun of the holidays this year! I’m hoping she loves the holidays as much as we do – although I know it might take a few years for her to fully appreciate it.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! As always, I’m thankful for all my readers and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for stopping by and reading!

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! I am so excited for this cooler weather here in LA! Long sleeves, coats, vests, sweaters – heaven!! :) I can’t believe how fast this year has gone by…can you believe it’s Thanksgiving in 2 weeks? We had a friendsgiving get together this past weekend, and I just couldn’t believe we were cooking a turkey in our kitchen already – it’s like HOW is it already year end?!

I’ve been trying to plan my holiday outfits as well (as you know from my previous post) and I feel like it’s always tough to find pieces that are versatile enough to wear throughout the entire holiday season. I’ve learned over the past years that it’s just not worth it to buy a bunch of pieces “just for the holidays” and end up wearing them only once. I’ve done that one too many times and I’ve learned my lesson – it’s also difficult on the bank account as well, haha! This year, I’ve made an extra effort to look for investment pieces and ones that I know I’ll be wearing for years. This dress is one of my most recent purchases and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I plan on wearing it (without the inside shirt) to an upcoming holiday company party with some sparkly heels and a cute cropped jacket. I like that it’s cute and unique but VERY company appropriate at the same time.

I’ve styled it this time with a blouse inside because it was a little chilly this past weekend. I like that it gives the outfit a more sophisticated/casual day time look as well.

As I mentioned in my last post, I’ll be sharing more holiday outfits soon!! Thank you so much for reading!

DRESSING FOR THE HOLIDAYS PART 1
DRESSING FOR THE HOLIDAYS PART 1

Hi! I thought it would be fun to do a little ‘dressing for the holidays’ series on the blog this year since I know how challenging and overwhelming it can be sometimes to find the right dress for all the events that take place during the holidays. For me, some of the events include family holiday photos, Thanksgiving parties, company parties, Christmas parties and of course, New Year’s Eve!

I dressed Everly up as well since it’s always fun to match with the little one! :)

For my personal style, I like to choose something that is both classy yet makes a statement for the holidays. I’m a huge fan of dresses for the holidays because they are easy to throw on, and I love that you can put on a statement necklace to bring the extra glam. This year, I chose to go with a dress that makes a bold statement on the bottom but the top is nice and simple so that I can make a POP with a sparkly necklace which just seems fitting for the holidays.

I would definitely wear this dress to a company party, a New Year’s Eve soiree and I just wore it for our family photos! (See how versatile some dresses can be?!)

I’m so smitten with this dress because I personally think black and silver are two of my most favorite colors to wear during the holidays. I love that it has a bit of old Hollywood glam as well. Best part of the dress though? It’s so affordable! ASOS always has a killer selection of holiday dresses!

Everly is really into giving us kisses now and I just can’t get enough of them. She even likes to make a big “MUAH” sound when she gives them – I just pretty much melt right then and there haha.

Hope you all liked this post and stay tuned for another ‘dressing for the holidays’ post soon! I’ve also linked some other of my other favorite holiday dresses below.

Can you tell I can’t get enough of the color camel? Every time Fall comes around, my mind immediately goes to these warm caramel/camel color tones, and I can’t seem to stop wearing them!

I’m so excited to bring out these boots again as well. I haven’t worn them for almost a year now since we’ve had a continuous heat wave in LA over the past year! After putting them on again, I’m remembering why I love them oh so much. They’re SO SO comfortable and slimming on the legs which is always a yes in my book. I would get them in every single color…if they weren’t so pricey haha! I do have to say that even though they are so expensive, they are definitely worth the investment – I promise!

Happy Wednesday!

Happy Monday! I was finally able to find a pair of sleek flared trousers that fit so comfortably, and I don’t even need to tailor them which is a HUGE score in my book. Even though I’m not at my full time job anymore since having Everly, I can’t help but think in “work” outfit mode sometimes since I was so used to putting together daily office appropriate outfits for so many years. I used to have to tailor most of my work trousers because they always fit awkwardly in some way or another. I saw these modern flared trousers at Bloomingdale’s and knew I had to try them on since I had been on the hunt for some ever since I saw them trending on the runways. I love that they can be dressed both up and down. For me, I’ll most likely be dressing them down since I won’t be attending any business meetings for the time being. The versatility of these trousers is endless, and my closet feels a little bit more complete now.
