Sharing some pictures from our trip to the pumpkin patch this past weekend. If you can tell from the pictures, Everly’s face got more and more red because it was SO freaking hot there. I think we would have had a lot more fun if it wasn’t like 90 degrees there!! I’m pretty much giving up hope for cooler weather in LA at this point. The weathercasters were saying that we’re going to have a huge “el nino” like storm in the next coming months but I have to see it to believe it. As for now, I’m just going to assume the heatwave will go on forever. The pumpkin patch was a lot more fun this year though now that Everly is a toddler. Last year she couldn’t enjoy in any festivities but this year she was running around looking at all the big kids (she’s obsessed!) and touching all the pumpkins. Now she’s trying to say the word pumpkin all day long although it sounds nothing like it hahah but it’s okay at least she’s trying!

I can’t believe it’s already Halloween this weekend! Everly is dressing up as Elmo. Actually it was a backup costume because originally I wanted her to be a bumble bee and bought the costume but she HATES it (like tears and all)…so we bought Elmo and now she’s happy haha. Toddlers….

Hope you are all having a great week!

Hi there! So the huge (and my favorite) Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale is finally here!!!!! It’s open to the public tomorrow (this week it was only offered to cardmembers – which I took FULL advantage of :) ) and honestly I think this is one of Nordstrom’s best anniversary sales to date. I look forward to this sale every year, and I was just so impressed with the selections this time – it’s getting me super excited for Fall! This outfit is one of my favorite picks from the sale. I always love a good shift dress (number one reason being they are very forgiving and comfy) but I had no idea HOW comfy this dress would be. I especially love the asymmetrical detailing of the skirt.

I put entirely way too many items in my cart when I was shopping the sale, but I obviously couldn’t get them all so it was extremely hard deciding which items were must-haves. I’ve linked a few of the items that I did end up purchasing below – I’ve already gotten most of them in the mail and trust me when I say I haven’t been disappointed yet! :)

Treat yourself or your loved ones to something nice and happy shopping!!!

I hope everyone had a safe and fun holiday weekend! We took Everly to the Hollywood Bowl for July 4th with some of our friends and she LOVED it! I just can’t get over how much this girl loves music!! She would clap after every song! It makes me so happy to know that she was able to enjoy the whole scene even though she did get a little freaked out by the super loud fireworks. I think after she got over her initial fear, she was all about them. We had such a great time and we definitely plan on taking her to the Bowl for more summer concerts. I swear the fireworks were going off the whole entire night! We kept hearing them go off in the wee hours of the night after we got home - good thing Everly was way too tired from all the fun to be bothered by them. :)

Thank you so much for stopping by!

‘Tis the season for camel and tan hues!! I’m currently having a love affair with these color tones, and I’ve invested in a few REALLY great pieces like this coat and this coat blazer. Both pieces will be timeless and classic for all the future seasons as well so definitely no buyer’s remorse here haha! I’m so excited that Christmas is next week but also feeling bittersweet that this year is actually coming to end! This has obviously been such a special year for my little family with the birth of our baby girl and 2014 will always hold the most special place in my heart. Although I’m sad that this year will be over soon, I’m also SO excited for what the future holds as Everly gets older. She’s already starting to sit up on her own and has two little teeth already!! She got her teeth in fairly early and it was so hard to see her in discomfort but I know it’s all part of the growing up process. It’s hard to believe that in six short months, we’ll be planning her 1 year old birthday party (YES, I’m already thinking about that…Moms out there should understand lol!)

Hope you’re all having a great week!
